Personal Introduction to my study of The Book of Mormon

My name is Marci Haws Nilsson. I am a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  We are told in the John 5:39 "Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me." This blog will be a record of my daily study (over several years) of the Book of Mormon - an ancient record written for our day. I testify these words are true and that you may "get nearer to God by abiding by its precepts, than any other book." (Joseph Smith). I know these words were recorded for our day and that we will be held accountable before God for how we treat them. I hold them sacred and pray I will be found a worthy witness of their truths.

 

I don't claim to have a perfect knowledge or understanding of the teachings in this sacred record. I reserve the right to change or grow in my understanding of these scriptures. This is just a repository of my study at the time that I do it. I share for two reasons. 1: To leave a written record for my later review and/or my posterity 2: To strengthen the faith of those who may stumble across it. May the Spirit testify of any and all truth to your heart as you read, and may you grant mercy for any errors in interpretation on my part. I hope you are blessed for stopping by.
